Guardianships
Guardianships
A person close to you who is under the age of 18 has lost one or both of his or her parents. Legally, someone is needed to make decisions for him or her. A guardianship is a legal right given to a person by a court to take on that responsibility.
The attorneys at Pettler & Miller are experienced in the area of guardianships and are sensitive to the problems and legal concerns involved in them. We are often appointed by the Los Angeles Superior Court as minor’s counsel to represent the interests of children in pending guardianship matters. We also frequently represent professional fiduciaries and bank trust departments who can be of help when a guardian is needed. This experience enables us to provide the most effective representation in this area of the law.
